Yorktown resident Ariel Enamorado, age 24, and Yorktown resident Gabriel Chavarria, age 40, were both charged with second-degree harassment in connection with an incident that happened at the Navajo Fields sports complex in Yorktown on Sunday, Oct. 6, Yorktown Police announced on Thursday, Oct. 31.

According to the department, at around 11:30 a.m. on the day of the incident, police responded to a large fight between teams at the field and began an investigation.

The effort eventually revealed that Enamorado and Chavarria allegedly punched the same victim in the head during the fight, police said.

Criminal summonses were then applied for and received against the duo. They were both served a criminal summons at police headquarters on Monday, Oct. 28, and released on their own recognizance. They will both appear in court on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
